How do I return or swap an item?

Unfortunately, we are not currently set up to do returns or item swaps. Please be sure the item you’ve selected to buy is the one you want – the picture for each item is the actual item you will receive.

If your purchase is damaged in shipping, however, please contact us using the Contact Us form and we will work something out.

How do I buy a candle or vase?

Simply use the Shop link to view the items we have available currently. Once you’ve found the item you want, hit Add to Cart to add it to your cart. When you’re ready to check out, hit the Checkout link. Once we’ve received your order, we will ship it out and send you an email. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

(Note that while we do use PayPal to take your money, you do not need to create a PayPal account to pay.)

The items in the store are the items we have available – selecting an item will get you that exact item. If you see an item you particularly like, we recommend buying it as soon as you can. As these are all natural products and all unique, we cannot create more than one of any individual candle or vase.

How do I set up the candle?

Setup is easy. You will need to buy a bottle of ultra-pure lamp oil and (optionally, but recommended) a small bottle. We recommend an ultra-pure or smokeless lamp oil, so the candle burns cleanly without smoke or soot. Specifically, the Lamplight Ultra Pure Clean Lamp Oil brand is what we recommend, which you can buy from Amazon here. It is also readily available from Lowe’s, Michael’s, Target and other retailers. Your rock will ship with a small squeeze bottle, like this one on Amazon, to make it easier to fill the candle.

Once you have your supplies, filling the candle is a four-step process:

  1. Fill the squirt bottle with oil.
  2. Pull one of the wicks (any of them will do) completely out and squeeze the oil into the hole.
  3. Replace the wick. Rolling the wick between your fingers before inserting them back into the candle is typically the easiest way to do it.
  4. Light the candle briefly. This will ensure the wicks are drawing up oil.
